We recently published a bulletin telling about our new cooperation deal with Farmikko Oy. Of course, this also means that our product range will be expanded by as many as four new energy wood tree shear models.

The T series tree shears bring new possibilities for harvesting and processing energy wood.  These tree shears are designed for different types of timber cranes present new opportunities for the logging and handling of energy wood. The operation of the new tree shears differs from previous JAK tree shear models mainly due to the separately pressing cutting blades and pruning properties. A standing tree can be pruned by running the shear along the trunk while the pruning blade in the shear cuts off the branches.

After pruning, the shear’s sturdy jaws take tight hold of the trunk and the hydraulic cutting blade cuts the tree neatly and efficiently in the desired spot. At the same time, the tree attached to the shear can be brought down or lifted to a stack. These tree shear models can directly replace an ordinary shear and their operation does not require electricity or additional hydraulics.

For the introduction of the T series, we have also created a spectacular video that details the operation of the shear in an authentic work environment. The lead role of the video is played by JAK-220TC, which is the largest tree shear in the T series.

 

The video shows how a standing tree can be pruned by running the cutter along the trunk. JAK-220TC is also equipped with a collector that allows the simultaneous handling of several smaller trees. Collector makes clearing easy and quick, as the same area can be traversed with less effort.
